Managing Safely is a course for managers and supervisors in any sector and any organisation. The course lasts for 21 hours in total. Managing Safely can be delivered over three or four days and has seven modules.
Objective
To give managers an awareness of all they need to know to help them handle health and safety in their teams. The flexible new high impact programme covers all the main health and safety issues.

- Assessing risks
- Controlling risks
- Understanding your responsibilities
- Identifying hazards
- Investigating accidents and incidents
- Measuring performance
Certification
An IOSH Certificate is awarded to all those who attend the course and successfully complete the written and practical assessments.
How you will learn
The emphasis throughout is on a practical approach with detailed presentations followed by individual exercises, group work and interactive discussions.
Number of participants
To optimise the benefit to each participant, numbers will be restricted to 6 people and each module will be customised as far as possible to individual training needs.
